UnitTrace Privacy Policy
UnitTrace is an offline-first rental condition evidence tool. The app helps users create local property inspection records, evidence photos, signatures, PDF reports, and JSON manifests.
Information We Do Not Collect
UnitTrace does not require an account. We do not operate a backend for the MVP, and we do not upload your property photos, signatures, inspection notes, reports, or manifests to our servers.
Information Stored On Your Device
The app stores property records, inspection records, room checklists, evidence metadata, signatures, photos, generated PDFs, and JSON manifests locally on your device. If you share or back up files using system features, those actions are controlled by the services you choose.
Camera, Photos, and Location
- Camera access is used to capture condition evidence photos.
- Photo library access is used when you choose existing photos for a report.
- Location access is optional and may be used to add approximate location metadata to evidence records.
Payments
UnitTrace Pro is offered as an optional in-app purchase. Purchase processing is handled by Apple. UnitTrace stores your Pro unlock status locally on your device so the app can enable paid features.
